PhD opportunity at Northumbria University

This study will draw on data and participants from innovative collaborative research partnerships Fuse and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North East and North Cumbria, with unique access provided by supervisor Peter van der Graaf, Fuse Associate Director at Northumbria University.

Title: Blurring the boundaries between knowledge and practice: mixed-methods study into application of implementation science knowledge by health care researchers and practitioners within collaborative research partnerships.

The PhD addresses the following research questions:

1. What does the ‘implementation science research to practice gap’ look like?
2. What is the work that needs to be done to lessen and overcome this gap?
3. What mechanisms and strategies for addressing this gap show the most promise?
4. And what does this mean for future directions in Implementation Science and Knowledge Mobilisation.
