NIHR North East and North Cumbria Health and Care Professionals Internship Programme

Overview

The aim of this internship is to support qualified and registered health and care professionals (HCPs) to develop their understanding and skills in research, that can be applied in ways to improve the lives of the people across our region. 
The internship will offer HCPs an opportunity to develop a tailored learning and development programme with the support of a mentor/supervisor. This will be completed in a 9-month period with a £10k award.
The internship is designed to support a wide range of research related activities through a personal learning and development plan. A personalised internship plan may include for example research training, contributing to research delivery in your organisation, developing research culture in your team or organisation, or taking a step toward to becoming a HCP research leader or clinical academic.
