AskFuse@10 – celebratory event and launch of seed corn funding competition

  • Venue: The Studio, Gala Theatre, Millennium Place, Durham, DH1 1WA
  • Start: Thu, 06 Jul 2023 10:00:00 BST
  • End: Fri, 30 Jun 2023 13:00:00 BST

Expect to see colleagues old and new who have supported AskFuse over the last decade, insightful presentations on what makes collaborative research partnerships work, interactive workshops to help you develop new research ideas and partnerships, and of course: cake!

We also want to use this event as an ongoing conversation for you to shape the service going forward in the next 10 years: what should AskFuse focus on and how can we best support you in your research needs going forward? Professor Peter Kelly CBE, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) Regional Director and NHS Director of Public Health – North East & Yorkshire, will be there for the whole event and will deliver a closing address to reflect on future opportunities.

Seed corn funding workshop with £1,000 available

There will be the opportunity to explore your initial idea informally with other participants to develop these further. More information will be available about the post-event seed corn funding competition for practice-based research ideas (£1,000 available). The event will also be an opportunity for Fuse academic and research colleagues to hear about research ideas emerging from practice.

Practice partners, community members, public partners and academic researchers are all welcome to join us. More details, including a full programme for the event, will follow shortly. If you would like to bring a research idea to the event, please contact Lesley Haley l.haley@tees.ac.uk AND Annmarie Ruse a.ruse@tees.ac.uk who can send you more information and will be happy to support.
