Funded PhD studentships are available at the MRC Epidemiology Unit and the Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR) at the University of Cambridge.
CEDAR (www.cedar.iph.cam.ac.uk) is a UKCRC Centre of Excellence in Public Health Research. It aims to understand the population-level determinants of dietary and physical activity behaviour, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and estimate the long term costs and benefits of behaviour change. Studentships are available in the social and environmental determinants of physical activity and dietary behaviour, population-level interdisciplinary intervention research on diet and physical activity and public health modelling.
The MRC Epidemiology Unit (www.mrc-epid.cam.ac.uk) is a research department in the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge, investigating the causes and prevention of diabetes and obesity. Studentships are available in any of our programmes.
