Cancer Prevention Fellowships: Call for applications
The CRUK/BUPA Foundation Cancer Prevention Initiative aims to tackle cancer by funding cutting edge research into behavioural and lifestyle changes that can prevent people getting cancer. As part of the Initiative, Cancer Prevention Fellowships are 3-year awards to fund outstanding postdoctoral scientists and health care professionals to research behaviour changes that can prevent people getting cancer.
Structured to promote the translation of cancer prevention research into policy and practical interventions through policy-focused secondments, fellows will gain extensive knowledge and experience to become future leaders in cancer prevention.
CRUK provide funding the fellow's salary, a research assistant, plus training and development to provide extra support in translational aspects of the research.
Applications are now open and welcome across any of the range of behaviours for cancer prevention, including smoking, obesity, diet, alcohol, UV exposure, and physical activity.
The deadline for applications is 23 October, 2015.
