At one time it was known as the sacred disease. A sign of a connection with other realms.
For Ella living with epilepsy has been tough at times. A groundbreaking treatment offers her a chance to make for the light and live symptom free, but will it alter who she is? Will she be turning her back on the very thing that has made her an artist?
After the performance there will be a post-show discussion with Alex Elliott (Operating Theatre Artistic Director), Dr Rhys Thomas (Honorary Consultant in Epilepsy), Professor Andy Jackson (Professor of Neural Interfaces and co-Principal Investigator on the CANDO project) and Vicky McPhee (Member of the CANDO Patient Advisory Group) during which the audience will be invited to ask questions and provide comment on the performance.
This is a performance of a work-in-progress and is intended to obtain feedback of the show to support the continued development of the piece.
The event is FREE to attend but ticketed.
