Our communities, our strength, shaping research together
Focusing on the health inequalities that continue to affect diverse population groups including South Asian and Muslim (SAM) communities.
This is your chance to be part of the change and support in prioritising our research in the ongoing fight for a more equitable health system.
Change is possible, but it won’t happen without consistent engagement with our communities. Trust needs to be built, and community voices must be represented and acted upon. The gap between research and impact can be bridged if we keep pushing for culturally relevant, accessible, and respectful health services.
Last years successful symposium helped us to understand what research academics were working on across the Northeast and wider parts of England. We would like to further understand what our priorities should be and where we should focus our future research.
