Reflections on applying for funding with a Collaborative Multidisciplinary team: Practical tips and insights for Early Career Researchers

Early career researchers are often expected to apply for and secure funding to advance their projects and academic careers. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team can be an effective strategy to maximize opportunities for success. However, navigating and negotiating the complexities of the funding landscape can be challenging, especially when working with colleagues from diverse disciplines and varying levels of experience. This presentation offers practical insights into managing the funding application process in multidisciplinary, collaborative teams. Attendees will gain actionable strategies for identifying collaborators, aligning proposals with funding body priorities, and managing team dynamics effectively. Through interactive breakout sessions, participants will develop skills in crafting collaboration plans and reviewing proposals, equipping them with essential tools to secure funding as part of a multidisciplinary team.
