From People to Place: Tackling Today’s Challenges Through Inclusive, Innovative Collaboration

Purpose of the event

  • Celebrate and showcase excellence, innovation and impact in public health across North East England.
  • Promote innovative public health practice, research and asset-based approaches that improve population health and reduce health inequalities.
  • Provide opportunities for networking, collaboration and professional development, strengthening cross-sector partnerships to address current, emerging and future public health challenges.
  • Foster collective action to tackle racism, discrimination and their impacts on health and wellbeing, promoting greater equity across communities.

Programme

Spanning across the 3 domains of public health (Health Protection, Health Improvement, and Health Care Public Health), the programme will include local presentations from across the life course (Starting Well, Living Well and Ageing Well). There will also be an opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, attend themed workshops and network with colleagues.

Who should attend

Anyone working in core or wider public health roles, including Faculty of Public Health members, Local Authorities, UK Health Security Agency, Office of Health Improvement and Disparities, NHS, academics, Voluntary and Community Sector, and wider public health partners.
