How can researchers and local government work together to address key public health challenges affecting Newcastle’s residents?
Join us for an interactive workshop focused on Newcastle City Council’s Public Health Areas of Research Interest (ARIs), priority areas where research and evidence can help inform decision making, improve services and reduce health inequalities.
What will I gain from this?
The workshop will offer the opportunity to:
- Learn about Newcastle City Council’s Public Health ARIs and how and why they were developed
- Hear examples of how research can be used to address local public health priorities
- Meet researchers, practitioners and others interested in public health policy and practice
- Share ideas, expertise and learning to develop collaborations that could help to address key evidence gaps
- Find out about opportunities to work with HDRC Newcastle and Newcastle City Council on research
- Explore potential funding and partnership opportunities to support future research
- Contribute to shaping future research activity that can make a difference to public health policy and practice in Newcastle
