Speaker Bio
Dr Greig Taylor is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer/Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry at Newcastle University/ Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Hospital’s Trust. Greig graduated with BDS(Hons) from the University of Glasgow in 2012 and has gone on to undertake higher specialist training in paediatric dentistry. Taking time out of clinical training in 2019, Greig was awarded a prestigious personal NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) Doctoral Research Fellowship. He defended his PhD, entitled the DECIDE study “Dental ExtraCtion versus filling In aDult teeth: an economic evaluation”, in 2023. His main area of research focuses on addressing the lack of evidence currently available for the pathways relating to child’s oral health, reducing oral health inequalities/disparities and utilising economic methodologies to do so. Greig will present on this work for the seminar, exploring the topic: Shall we listen to the children when making decisions in dentistry?
