How behavioural science can inform the development and delivery of health interventions

The session will offer practical insights into translating behaviour change theory into interventions that are relevant, meaningful and responsive to different populations and contexts. Attendees will gain examples of how behavioural science can be applied to the development and delivery of public health interventions in real-world settings.

Use of a Virtual Patient tool to support the delivery of Making Every Contact Count (MECC): a strategic behavioural analysis

Jocelyn will explore barriers and facilitators to delivering Making Every Contact Count (MECC), and examine how effectively a Virtual Patient training tool helps address these factors.

When behaviour change meets culture: Developing a culturally tailored healthy eating intervention with British Bangladeshi women

Farhin will draw on her PhD research to discuss the development of a 10-week digital healthy cooking intervention for British Bangladeshi women, highlighting how behavioural theory and qualitative research informed a culturally tailored approach.
